Ericka Wells

Ericka has more than 20 years of experience in education and nonprofit management. In every position Ericka has held, she has used her program management, communication, and organizational talents to lead her as she serves her community. With a personal passion for resource conservation and protecting our natural environment, her position with URA is an ideal match.
Ericka firmly believes that collaboration is the answer to fostering environmental stewardship within communities. She has a deep appreciation for the need to shift toward a Zero Waste world and seeks to help develop broadly supported programs that protect and conserve our natural resources. Ericka values the strength and support that diverse perspectives bring to the table when aligned around common causes. She is excited about URA’s work to focus on community strengths in implementing and enhancing sustainability initiatives throughout Utah.
Ericka completed a master’s degree in environmental education from Lesley University and the Audubon Expedition Institute, and a B.A. in developmental psychology from Tulane University. Ericka was a member of Leadership Park City Class ‘16, which led a project on the importance of sourcing food locally. She is currently the club president for Park City Sunrise Rotary. She is also a certified yoga instructor, river guide, and former volunteer firefighter.
Ericka and her husband, Jim, have lived together in Park City since 2004. They also spend time at their off-grid cabin in Colorado where they coordinate an annual 4th of July fireworks show to support the nearby rural fire department. When not working, Ericka can be found hiking, backcountry camping, practicing yoga, paddling, and working on her pottery skills.
